Abstract:
It is interesting to explore neutron-rich nuclei in the next region of the neutron drip-line region, i.e., around a Z=10-20 (Ne to Ca) segment of the drip-line since several selfconsistent mean-field models predict occurence of nuclear deformation. To study the structure of such weakly bound nuclei,it is of crucial importance to treat precisely the single-particle states which are influenced by deformed potential, the pair correlation, and effects of coupling to the continuum states. We have recently formulated a new scheme of the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov mean-field theory fulfilling this requirement by exploiting the coordinate-space Green function technique. Preseting numerical analysis performed for 38Mg, we will discuss a few topics,including the resonance behaviour of the Nilsson quasiparicle states, enhanced pair correlation due to the weak binding, and a critical comparison with the pioneering work by Hamamoto.
